| About Separation Day |
| The Separation day is a public holiday in Anguilla. This is celebrates the political separation of Anguilla from the islands of the St.Kitts-Nevis. Today celebrated with fun activities at the village’s playing field began at the mid-morning. Mr. James Ronald Webster, he was the leader of the Anguilla and Father of the Nation and first Chief Minister of the Anguilla. He supported by the Anguillan people. He used his personal assets in the struggle to free Anguilla from the Associate State of St. Kitts-Nevis and Anguilla. Finally successful in terms of practical separation on 30th May 1967 and they earned constitutional Separation on 19th December 1980. So today it earnest decision that a national holiday be designated in honour of Mr.James Ronald Webster. |
