| Mother Teresa Day is celebrated on October 19th of every year in Albania. Mother Teresa was internationally famed as a humanitarian and advocate for the poor and helpless, due in part to a documentary. She is a Catholic nun. She was born on August 26th, 1910 in Albania. Her real name was Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu. Her vocation was a message of love. She worked tirelessly for the poor, calling worldwide attention to the extreme poverty and suffering of millions of people. On October 19th 2003 she was beatified, making her Saint Mother Teresa. Her homeland of Albania made this an official national holiday. |
