| The Kingdom of the Netherlands is an autonomous state with extent in Western Europe and in the Caribbean. It is participated on a basis of equality as partners in the Kingdom. In 1900, Curacao was a Dutch colony composed the present-day Netherlands Antilles and Aruba; its name was changed to the Netherlands Antilles in 1948. Kingdom day is remembered the signing of the Charter on 15 December in the Netherlands, Antilles, and Aruba. The Charter for the Kingdom of Netherlands was signed by Queen Juliana on 15 December 1954. It deals with the relation between the Netherlands and the overseas territories like the Netherlands Antilles. |
