This October feast honors the lives and accomplishments of the saints who founded the Armenian alphabet, translated the Bible into Armenian. In this Bible started at movement of writing and translating important works into Armenian. The Armenian’s called in this period is “Golden Age”. The Armenian Church of the Holy Translators is part of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church. The word “Translator” means "Interpreter”. Sts. Mesrob wrote many biblical commentaries. He is one of the apexes of this group of Holy Translators. |
