| The Republic Day is celebrated on May 28th of each year in Armenia. On May 28th, 1918 Armenia was proclaimed an independent republic from the Transcaucasian. Republic Day is also known as the First Republic Day, and commemorates the day when Armenian statehood was restored in 1918. It is not just a holiday it is an important reminder of what happen to a republic. The republic was established in the former territory of Eastern Armenia in the Russian Empire following the Russian Revolution of 1917. It was the first sovereign republic in the history of Armenia. One of the major public holidays in Armenia that commemorates the establishment of the first Democratic Republic of Armenia on May 28th, 1918. On this day of unity for the Armenian people and celebrates their republic day in Armenia. |
