| The Victory and Peace Day is official holiday of Armenia. It is celebrated on May 9th of every year. The day is when the nation celebrates victory the Great Patriotic War. Where over the five hundred thousand Armenians fought on the side of Soviet Army. The celebration of this day marks the beginning of the modern Armenian quest for independence. On May 9th, 1992, liberation of Shushi marked a turning point in the Artsakh war. The contemporary Armenia is the extension of the Republic which lived and moved forward thanks to the valor of those who fought in the war. On this festive day we recall with pain but also with pride those who put their lives on the altar of Motherland. Bright memories of our heroes will be with us forever. |
