| In 1988 Armenians attacked on Azerbaijan’s and basing on the attitude of the Moscow especially Mikhael Gorbachov's, the head of the USSR, they planned to start mass deportation of Azerbaijanis from their native lands under the directions of Armenian government. Above 200,000 Azerbaijanis were brutally burnt and killed by the Armanians but Gorbachov ignored the Armenian vandalism. However in 1988 on 17th November society of Azerbaijan began rallies at Azadlig square and formed the Anti – Azerbaijan Policy and the people gathered to form the freedom movement by disrupting the Soviet Army in the beginning of the December. |
