| The King’s feast is celebrated on November 15th of every year in Belgium. The day is the feast of St. Leopold. He is one of the kings of Belgium. This holiday celebrates in Belgium since 1866. On this day federal ministries are closed and traditionally on this day as well as a private occasion. In 1951 the king Baudouin decided to keep this date. The Belgian Federal Parliament holds a ceremony in honour of the King, in the presence of members of the Belgian Royal Family and dignitaries. 15th November is officially the day on which the Royal Family is celebrated. It is an official holiday of Belgium. |
