| The Independence Day is celebrated on August 5th of every year in Burkina Faso. Over the 50 years the territory merged with and separated from other French territories in West Africa. This country gained their independence from France in 1960. So it was decided to move the celebration of the National Day. The oral tradition continued to have an influence on Burkinabe writers in the post-independence Burkina Faso of the 1960. |
