| On December 16th 1971 Bangladesh achieved independence from Pakistan. This feat of independence came after 9 months of struggle in which many Bangladeshis were massacred. Bangladesh gained independence after 9 months of a long and bloody struggle. On December 16th marks "Victory Day" for Bangladesh after it achieved independence from Pakistan. On the occasion of the Victory Day, special prayers will be offered at mosques, temples, churches and other places of worship seeking divine blessings for peace and progress of the country. Today they celebrate with colorful programmes. In this day they are pray a special prayer for valiant freedom fighters. |
