The National Day is observed on November 22nd of each year in Burma. According to the spokesman for NCGUB, those who took part in student boycotts during colonial periods. On this day, entire international community and the Burmese organizations for democracy inside and outside Burma urge for a genuine political talks to be held between the SPDC and Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, the peoples’ leader. The large event was affiliated with the Mon National Democratic Front. Burmese National Day became a symbol of the strong link between political and educational rights and highlighted the important role that students have played in Burmese politics.
