About Tazaungdaing Festival
The Tazaungdaing Festival is celebrated on 11th of November of each year in Burma. Taunggyi Tazaungdaing Festival is held annually and is accompanied by communal Kahtein padethapin procession. Today they were celebrated with paper lantern processions and hot air balloons in the shapes of animals highlight the annual Tazaungdaing. It is also called as Balloon Festival of Myanmar. This festival means the offering of robes to monks. It is celebrated on the full moon day in November every year. It teaches us to donate money to help the poor and to modernize the small monasteries and to educate the “coyins” by every year. On this day they also have a parade, dances and songs.
