| Louis David Riel was a Canadian politician. Louis Riel was a politician who represented the interests of the Metis people of the Canadian prairies. Louis Riel Day is a public holiday in the Canadian province of Manitoba, named in honour of Louis Riel, the Metis leader regarded. He is the Father of Manitoba.
