| About Saskatchewan Day |
| The Saskatchewasn Day is celebrated on 1st Monday in August. The celebration of Saskatchewan history and culture similar to Canada Day. The colorful ceremony includes the official Canada Day 21 gun salute, the participation of veterans, young people, political leaders and of course, Salut, the official Celebrate Canada mascot. The Celebrate Canada Committee for Saskatchewan has decided that because they are a Provincial Committee it is appropriate for the Provincial Ceremony. The ceremony traditionally ends with the cutting of a Big Birthday cake and the ceremony itself acts as a kick off for an afternoon of activities in Wascana Centre organized by the Regina Canada Day Committee. |
