| Labour Day is an important event of the contribution to society of all working people. It is a national holiday in China. Labour Day is honoring organized by labours. It’s celebrated to the workers of economic and social achievements. Almost people have known as Labour Day as an International Workers' Day or May Day. The celebration of Labour Day has its origins in the eight hour day movement, which advocated eight hours for work, eight hours for recreation, and eight hours for rest. The Chinese government made Labour Day seven-day holiday by moving the prior and upcoming weekends together with these three days. In 2008 the People's Republic of China reduced this holiday period down to one day. |
