| About Unification Day |
| The Unification Day is celebrated on October 1st of every year in Cameroon. It is marking the anniversary of the United Nations Trust Territory known as French Cameroon achieved independence from France on 1 January 1960, and British Southern Cameroons changed status from a Trusteeship under British administration to a federated state within Cameroon on 1 October 1961. This is not to be confused with the anniversary of French Cameroun's independence from France. Today they are although there is a weekly pledge, which is a ceremony of rededication. |
