| The Youth Day is celebrated on February 11th of every year in Cameroon. In this day marked under the theme youths and the fight against corruption. This day celebrate the Youths in Cameroon. A historian, Dr. Willibroad Dze-Ngwa, says the appellation Youth Day used in place of the Plebiscite Day that took place on February 11, 1961, is a historical misnomer. In this day took the form of a massive march in front of Bongo Square with all the schools of Buea in attendance. They even closed off the road. The day will be marked by a special message from President Paul Biya to youths and a march-past organized in various regions of the country. On 20th May Boulevard is to encourage initiative and creativity amongst Cameroonian youths. This is the national holiday. |
