| The Fenkil Day is celebrated on February 10th of every year in Eritrea. February 10th commemorates the resistance operation of 1990 to liberate the port city of Massawa. It is a public holiday of Eritrea. Eritrea got their independence in 1993, 24th May after a long war that took more then 30 years and many people lost their lives. From the 8th to 10th February the gallant Eritrean freedom fighters scored a decisive military victory on 1990. |
