| May 1st is a national holiday in Eritrea. Most countries celebrate May Day in May and some countries celebrate it in different dates. May Day is for honoring the workers. It is a memorial and reminder of the Workers' Movement. This Day is organized for the eight hour day movement which advocated eight hours for work, eight hours for recreation, and eight hours for rest. It is the commemoration of the social and economic achievements of the labor to the society. |
