Women continued to celebrate NWD on the last Sunday of February until 1913. International Women’s day is started March 8th being commemorated in 1910 but made official by the United Nations in 1975. The day marks the centuries-old struggle of women to participate in the society on equality with men. The day is dedicated to stresses on the equality, justice, peace and development for women. |
