| About Green March Day |
| Green March Day is celebrated on 6th November in Morocco and it is named after the Holy Colour of Islam. It is a day of National Pride which has taken place in 1975 and reminds us about 350,000 civilians of morocco both men and women MARCHED into the Western Sahara area to restore Morocco from Spain on the declaration of the King HassanII. The Green March Day is celebrated as a National Holiday through out Morocco. The unarmed 350,000 of men and women of Morocco gathered on the city of Taffeta in Southern Morocco and waited for a response or a signal from the King HassanII to cross the borders of Western Sahara by protesting and waving the flags and banners and calling for “Return Morocco Sahara”. As the men and women troops reached the border, The Spanish were ordered not to fire against the Protesters to avoid the bloodshed. In Moroccan Nationalism this Incident became a significant Demonstration.
