| Labour Day is the Day of workers which is celebrated once in a year which has the origin from the Labour Union Movement celebrating the hard time achievements of the workers. Most of the countries celebrate this day on 1st of may and some celebrate it on the 1st Monday of September and is popularly known us “Labour Day, May Day and Inter national Workers Day” Actually the reason for celebrating The Labour Day is to make known to the workers that “in 24hours of the day a worker has to work for eight hours, rest for eight hours and leave the other eight hours for recreation and relaxation”. In America, Labour Day is celebrated in September on 1st Monday and there will be a holiday to enjoy and give a tribute to the members of the workers. In some other countries like Australia, Tasmania, Queensland and Northern Territories called with different names like “Eight hours day May day and Eight hour working Day and they believe that the contribution of the labourers helps in building up the nations economy. Australians celebrate it on the 1st Monday in the month of March, in Victoria Tasmania it falls on second Monday in March where as in northern territory and in Queensland it is celebrated on the 1st Monday in May. So Labour Day or Workers Day is celebrated for the recognition of the Loubours and workers, on this day there will be a PUBLIC HOLIDAY and all the Schools, colleges, businesses, post offices and all the goverrment concerns will be closed. People who use public transport on this day should make their own arrangements prior to this holiday for not being in trouble.
