| About Labour Day |
| Labor Day is celebrated on 1st May and is also commonly known as May Day. It is also known as International Workers' Day and is declared as a public holiday. It marks the historic struggle of working people throughout the world and to celebrate the economic and social achievements of workers. This day refers to the labor celebrations that celebrate the fight for the eight hour day which the labor unions brought the timing per day not to mention the concept of the weekend. This day has ancient origins and relates to many customs that have survived into modern times. These customs are due to May Day being a cross-quarter day and fall approximately halfway between the spring equinox and summer solstice. |
