| FAO Day is celebrated on April 17th of every year in Iraq. FAO means Food and Agriculture Organization. A lot of cereal is shipped through Iraq's port in Umm Qasr. The strategy identified 6 main areas for FAO immediate interventions at the Marshlands area of Iraq. In 2003 Iraq was able to harvest enough cereal grains to feed about 30% of its population. Food and Agriculture Organization addressed the need for Iraq to get assistance with harvesting its cereal crops on April 16th 2003. |
