| The Seamen's Day is celebrated on June 3rd of every year in Iceland. It is celebration that honour by the many Icelanders who make a living from the Ocean. The event where the four day-long program includes art exhibitions, fairground rides, competitions and live music – including Bubbi Morthens and Friends, one of Iceland’s most loved musicians. Many other events take place on terra firma with cultural displays, parades, arts and crafts activities, food fairs and live musical performances where visitors can enjoy the odd sea shanty and mariner's tale. |
