| Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is celebrating the anniversary of His Majesty King Abdullah’s accession to the Throne on June 9 annually. Abdullah II, On February 7th 1999 after his father, late King Hussein passed away, became the king of Jordan who has born on January 30th 1962. He is the eldest son of Hussein. In 1960, King Hussein decided to appoint his brother, Prince Hassan bin Talal, as his heir. In 1980s, the king made arrangements to pass the throne to his brother and then to his son Ali. But his mind changed and then he considered appointing one of his nephews as heir but he died on 25 January 1999 he appointed Abdullah as his heir. King Abdullah is the head of constitutional monarchy. |
