On this day, Kenyans celebarate their first two leaders who are namely Jomo Kenyatta and Daniel Arap moi. Daniel Toroitich Arap moi was born on 2nd September, 1924. He was one of the president of independent Kenya and is well known as “Nyayo’. The first Kenyan president is Jomo Kenyatta. Moi elected as a Member of Legislative council for the Rift Valley in 1955. He founded Kenya African Democratic Union (KADU). Moi Day is particularly significant because of the last national holiday marked with President Moi as leader. |
