| About Coronation Day |
| The Coronation Day is another major religious festival of Cambodia. This festival brings spiritual merit to both lay people and the monks. The Cambodian people begun three day of ceremonies centering on Friday’s formal coronation of King Norodom Sihamoni. This ceremony began at Royal Palace with King Sihamoni receiving visits from lawmakers, monks, diplomats and family members. Several Buddhist and Brahmin ceremonies also begin Thursday. In this festival celebrates to the Town and country folks march in a procession to the pagoda where the monks are waiting to change their old saffron robes for the new ones offered during the festival. |
