| The Meak Bochea is celebrated by Buddhists Cambodia. It is important religious festival of Buddhists. This is the public holiday of Buddhists in Cambodia. It is falls in full moon of the third lunar month, a month known in the Thai language as Makha. In the evening, each temple in Thailand holds a candle light procession called a wian tian. In this festival when Buddhists tent to go to the temple to perform merit-making activities. This event occurred early in the Buddha's teaching life. The monks heard the Buddha lay down the Buddha's three main principles: do good, abstain from bad actions, and purify the mind. On this day, Buddhists celebrate Meak Bochea by joining candlelit processions within temples in their vicinity. |
