| British Evacuation Day is celebrated on 28th March annually in Libya. It is the day to celebrate to commemorate the closing of British bases from Tobruk “Al-Adam”, which was established following World War II in 1970, a national holiday. The base was named Jamal Abdulnasir Base. It was celebrated under the name Eid Al Jala. In Libya has celebrated three evacuation days namely, British Evacuation Day on 28th March, Evacuation Day on 11th June and Italian Evacuation Day on 7th October annually. It is the day to celebrate the anniversary of the birth of late queen Ingrid of Denmark. She was born in 1910 and died on Nov 7, 100. The Danish people remember her with exhibitions and cultural events on her birthday. The flag of Libya consists of a simple green field with no other characteristics. It is the only national flag in the world with just one color and no design, insignia, or other details. |
