| About Enthronement |
| Mohammed VI is the present King of Morocco. He was born on 21 August 1963. His father, late King Hassan II, gave him a religious and political education from an early age. At the age of 4, he was attending the Qur'anic school at the Royal Palace where he learned the Qur'an by heart. His research paper dealt with "the Arab-African Union and the Strategy of the Kingdom of Morocco in matters of International Relations." An enthronement is a ceremony of inauguration, sitting for the first time on a throne. The throne is seen as a symbol of authority. On July 30 every year marks the Throne Day, enthronement of King Mohammed VI. The king first changed the concept of law. The government was asked to simplify investment and administrative procedures to boost employment, and to accelerate the adoption of the new labour code that defines clearly both investors and workers' duties and responsibilities. |
