| Morocco broke free from years of French colonial rule with the return of King Mohammed V in 1956. On November 18th, 1956, King Mohammed V proclaimed its independence. The grateful Moroccans have not forgotten the sacrifices of their heroes who sacrifice their life to the nation. There are Morocco independence celebrations to mark the freedom of the country in1975 from Spanish rule. January 11th is the Proclamation of Independence and November 18th, being national holidays in Morocco. Moroccans are proud of their lineage and proud of their independence. Moroccans had to secure their freedom after many violent and bloody battles. |
