| It is the celebration, end of the Mexican Independence War on 1821. The Mexican War of Independence was started on 16th September 1810, which was conflict between the people of Mexico and Spanish colonial authorities. Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla declared war against the colonial government. The revolutionary army decided to strike for independence and marched on to Guanajuato. On 30 October 1810, Hidalgo's army encountered Spanish resistance at the Battle of Monte de las Cruces. On 6th November, 1813, the Congress signed the first official document of independence, known as the "Solemn Act of the Declaration of Independence of Northern America. Between 1815 and 1821 the Independence War became a guerrilla war. Between 1823 and 1829 Spain made some attempts to regain Mexico. Spain finally recognized Mexican independence in 1830. |
