| About Father's Day |
| Father’s day is celebrated on third Sunday of June in Mexico and various countries. It is celebrated on a variety of dates worldwide and generally involves gift-giving, special dinners to fathers, and family-oriented activities. It is not a federal holiday in most countries. Father’s day is on Sunday, so public offices are closed on this day and very few organizations are open for business. In Mexico it is referred as “Día del Padre”. Six years later, it is a permanent national holiday when President Richard Nixon signed it into law in 1972. The June solstice come around the same time of year as Father's Day so some people see a link between the two. |
