| About Naadam Holiday |
| Naadam is a traditional and major festival in Mongolia. It is the festival celebrated on three days; July 11 to July 13. The festival is also known as "eriin gurvan naadam", "the three games of men". The games are Mongolian wrestling, horse racing and archery and are held throughout the country during the midsummer holidays. Women are participating in the archery and girls in the horse-racing games, but not in Wrestling. Mongolian population in china are also celebrates Naadam. On this day military parades and sporting competitions such as archery, horse riding and wrestling, which followed the celebration of various occasions, are held. This is a National holiday. The opening ceremony features marches and music from soldiers, monks and athletes. In 2006 National Naadam was introduced. |
