| The festival day is the day to celebrate extremely by the Montserrat from mid December until New Year’s Day. It is the day that ends of the old year. It is the day, when Montserratians living overseas return to the island. And is of those celebrate with families and friends and enjoy the festivities. It is similar to carnivals held in other islands. There are many competitions are organized, festival Queen, beauty and talent shows, and a parade of costumed troupes on New Year. On night, ‘jump ups” in the street, playing music, etc. A New Year without complete a New Years Eve party. Most of the countries in the World announced, on this day as a Public holiday. Some of the families plan out get-together, parties and dinners. Many head to parties in city clubs and bars to continue the celebrating late night. |
