| In Namibia, Independence Day is celebrated on 21 March 1990 from South African mandate. South Africa objected arguing that a majority of the territory's people. Namibian War of Independence known as guerrilla war which is fought against South Africa, organized by the nationalist South-West Africa People’s Organization. On March 21, 1990 Namibia got its independence. Statue at Heroes Acre honoring Namibian soldiers during the Namibian War of Independence. Hundreds of people annually gather to watch leaders, commemorate veterans of the People's Liberation Army of Namibia (PLAN), SWAPO's military wing during the War. Namibia lies in Southwest Africa. Namibia derived its name from the Namib Desert, and unique geological feature famous for the pristine and haunting quality of its landscape. |
