| About Worker's Day |
| Each year the first day of May is celebrated as May Day. May Day is also known as Labor Day, which celebrates the social and economic achievement of the labor movement. Labor Day is celebrated on May 1 in many countries and it is still often a day for protests and rallies. On this day, various labor organizations across the country carry out processions and organize competitions for children belonging to labor class. The origins of unions' existence can be traced from the eighteenth century where the rapid expansion of industrial society drew women, children, rural workers and immigrants to the work force in larger numbers and in new roles. The first Labor Day holiday was celebrated on September 5 1882 in New York City in accordance with the plans of the Central Labor Union. The Central Labor Union held its second Labor Day holiday just a year later on September 5 l883.
