Soellal is a Korean’s favorite holiday. Korean New Year commonly known as Seollal. It is the most important of the traditional Korean holidays. Koreans usually celebrate two New Year’s, one is January 1st according to the solar calendar, and February 7th according to lunar calendar. During Seollal, most of the people go batch to their homes and perform ceremonial rites, paying their respect to their ancestors. Hence the day before and after Seollal are also designated holidays. Soellal is refers to the beginning of the year.
