| Constitution Day is a holiday to honor the constitution of a country. Constitution Day is often celebrated on the anniversary of the signing, promulgation or adoption of the constitution. It is bordered by, two dominant neighbors, the People’s Republic of China and Republic of India. Nepal is the world's 93rd largest country by land mass. Kathmandu is the nation's capital and the country's largest metropolitan city. The Mountainous north contains eight of the world’s ten highest mountains, including the highest, Mount Everest. Hinduism is practiced by a greater majority of people in Nepal than in any other nation. Buddhism is linked historically with Nepal as the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama. He gave the birth to the Buddhist tradition, which was in majority in the past. Since 1768, the country had been ruled by a dynasty of kings. Long People’s Revolution by the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist), the country became federal democratic republic in May 28, 2008. The first President of Nepal is Dr Ram Baran Yadav on 23 July, 2008. The country is now multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, multi-lingual country. The national language of Nepal is called ‘Nepali’. |
