| Commonwealth Day of the Pacific Islands is celebrated on every second Monday of the year in March. The Queen deliver an address to the Commonwealth, broadcast throughout the world. Commonwealth Day is not a public holiday in the most Commonwealth countries and there is little public awareness of it. The aim of commemorating Commonwealth Day is to promote the understanding on global issues, international cooperation and the work of the Commonwealth to improve the lives of its two billion citizens. |
