| About Bastille Day |
| July 14 was Bastille Day, and St Barth celebrated with fireworks starting at 9:00 pm at Fort Oscar in Gustavia. The Saint Barth Yacht Club sponsored a regatta of the traditional sailboats, and many restaurants offered special menus for the occasion. Sources say the troops did not come out since most of the monies for the Bastille Day Celebration were given to the organizers of the Caribbean Festival who held their final parade on July 14th. |
