| About Beaujolais Nouveau |
| An annual tradition in France is the uncorking of Beaujolais Nouveau on the third Thursday of November. In Beaujeu (a department in the Rhone Valley), the capital of Beaujolais wine, the first barrels were officially opened at midnight on November 17. The original name of the island now known as St. Barts was Ouanoloa, named by the Carib tribes who called it home for centuries. St. Barts was traded to Sweden in 1784, and King Gustav III named the island's major city Gustavia. |
