New Year's Eve Regatta was a beautiful day for sailing, with clear skies and 25 knots of wind creating brisk breezes for the 10th annual St. Barth New Year’s Eve Regatta, or around-the-island parade. “It was a great day for racing,” says Del Giudice, who stresses that this event is held just for fun. History was made in St Barth on December 31 when sailor Claude Thélier sped past all the competition with his 60' racing trimaran, Region Gaudeloupe, and beat the around-the-island time record by one minute. |
