| Holi also called the Festival of Colours is a popular Hindu spring festival. In the early days the festival was observed very modestly because of the many constraints that the Hindus have to deal with. But, today it is celebrated at a national level, in a grand style throughout Trinidad. Holi is celebrated on the streets, villages, towns and cities in that vast country of 800 million Hindus. The ladies move from house to house in the neighborhood, applying abir on the faces and clothing of their friends and families in the selected colours of red, green, blue, yellow, pink, purple and orange. Some people also making natural and healthy colors and safety precautions that one must take to enjoy Holi.On holi day People exchange good wishes, sweets and gifts. |
