| The Labour Day of the Swaziland is celebrated on 1st May each year. May Day occurs on May 1 and refers to several public holidays. May Day is related to the Celtic festival of Beltane. International Workers' Day is a celebration of the social and economic achievements of the international labor movement. Labour Day remains an annual public holiday, Swaziland now simply regard Labour Day as the Monday of the last long weekend of summer rather than a day of protest. May Day was officially celebrated under the Communist regime, and remains a public holiday. Traditionally, the day was marked by dancing around designated "May trees." |
