| About Saisiat Festival |
| Saisiyat mingles among Atayal and Hakka. Hence, most of the Saisiyat speak both Atayal dialect and Hakka as the daily common languages. The Saisiyat treated the Taai as guests of honor who were invited to join their festivals for wine and fun. The Saisiyat received their name, because, according to their oral tradition, the name was sacred, chosen by the god Opoh Na Bolhon. The Saisiyat, with a population of around 7,000, make up 7.32% of the total indigenous population of Taiwan. |
