| About Heroes' Day |
| June 9th of every year in Uganda is celebrated as Heroes day. It is celebrated in commemoration of the acts of some few men and women, led by President Museveni who took part in the 1981-1986 Bush War for resisting colonialism for nine years and to restore peace and security in Uganda. During this day people of Uganda remember their heroes who sacrificed their lives and property for the cause. This is a national holiday in Uganda. The people of Uganda celebrate this festival with great joy and happiness. |
