| Between 1811 1823 war of independence was fought for the emancipation of Venezuela and the war was linked politically and militarily to the other parts of the South American wars. The armies of both the countries united to fight for the national boundaries. It was an in auspicious beginning in 1806 there was a small group foreign congregation brought to home land by the Venezuelan revolutionary Francisco de Miranda. A massive slave revolt sparked a general resurrection against the plantation system and French colonial power. There was a civil war has been cropped up between pitting blacks and mulattos against whites, as a result an international conflict as England Spain supported the white. In 19th century the rebels started an independent nation of Haiti. In 1811 on July Venezuela declared its independence from Spain. The Spanish forces led by General Juan Monteverde defeated the Venezuelan revolutionary army, led by Francisco de Miranda, which surrendered at La Victoria in July 12, 1812, effectively ending the first phase of the revolutionary war; Simón Bolívar and other revolutionary leaders fled abroad. |
