| Labor Day differs from one country to another in a more or less degree connected with the various problems of laborers which they handle day by day. The labor holiday is no way related to the man living or dead to no race or nation. Samuel Gompers is the founder of the American Federation of Labor and is celebrated on the first Monday in September and the movement is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of the country. In 1882 the first labor holiday was held on Tuesday September 5, by the Central Labor Union in New York City. Oregon was the first state to officially announce the holiday and later U S congress announced the Labor Day as a National Holiday. |
